Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Akagera national park.
Your one day safari will start with a pick up from Kigali by your guide from African Vacation Safaris who will meet you and then welcome you for the safari. You will start your journey from Kigali at 5am to Akagera national park. Akagera national park is situated in the North East part of Rwanda and it’s the only savannah park in the country with the variety of wildlife. Akagera national park is a home of the big five mammals that includes lions, buffaloes, rhinos, lions and leopards. And other animal species in the park includes zebras, bushbucks, giraffes, waterbucks, hyenas, hippos and among many other, and various bird species that includes Armur falcon, Black-crowed night heron, Booted eagle, Cardinal quelea, Caspian plover, Crested barbet, Lesser jacana, Martial eagle, Papyrus gonolek, Marsh owl, Red-faced barbet, Short-tailed pipit, Sooty falcon and among many others.
And once you arrive at the park in the early morning you will enter and then get registered at the entry where you will connect for a Moring in game drive in the park in the open roofed vehicle and the experience takes you about 2 to 4 hours depending on your interest and then probably animal sights. You will follow the perfect game tracks that will offer you unforgettable safari memories. After then game drive you will be transferred for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise.
After lunch, you will go for another rewarding safari activity at Lake Ihema in Akagera national park that offers a serene safari experience with the great opportunities to spot the hippos, crocodiles and then the diverse birdlife. The scenic views of the lake’s waters and surrounding landscapes provide a relaxing and picturesque experience. After the boat cruise your safari guide will drive you out of the park and then embark on your journey to Kigali and then be dropped at your preferred location that will make your safari come to then end.
