Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Budongo forest in Murchison falls national park.
On the first day of the safari, depending on you location, your driver guide from African Vacation Safaris will either pick up from your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport, he will welcome you then brief you about the 2 days chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest that is located close to Murchison falls national park. After the briefing you will start your journey, and along the way you will be fascinated by the perfect views of the landscape, and along the way you will have enroute lunch as well. Then after lunch you will proceed with your journey until you will reach to your final destination. Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest and Departure.
On the second day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your delicious breakfast. After breakfast, you will meet your driver guide and then head to Budongo forest for chimpanzee trekking. Upon your arrival you will be briefed about the rules and regulation to follow during chimpanzee trekking at the meeting or the starting point. After the briefing you will start trekking in Budongo forest while looking for the chimpanzees that takes a period of 2 hours to 4 hours depending on the movement and location because these creatures like moving from one place to another while looking for food.
The experience is amazing, along chimpanzee trekking you will be able to spot various biodiversity of the forest that is beautiful bird species, attractive tree species and among many other small mammals and primates. And once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees in their natural habitat; and this is where you will have the chance to witness the chimpanzees feeding, playing, learning about their behaviours, habitats, watching the mother chimpanzees breastfeeding the young ones, taking their pictures and recording those wonderful moments. After the period of one hour with the chimpanzees, you will transfer to the starting point and then your driver guide will return you back to the lodge for lunch, and after lunch you will transfer back to your convenient drop off location that will make your safari come to the end.
