Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park.
On the 1 day of 3 days Murchison falls air balloon safari, you will be welcomed by your driver guide from African Vacation Safaris that will brief you about the safari and then you will start your journey to Murchison falls that is situated in the northwestern part of Uganda. The distance from Kampala to Murchison falls national park takes you about 5 to 6 hours’ drive with enroute lunch on the way, as well you will pass through the small towns, then Nakasongola plains and you can optional visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the few remaining rhinos in the place; or you will directly drive to the top of the falls to where you will have the spectacular views of the waterfall, experience beautiful splashes, while admiring the stunning scenery. After the top of the falls you will drive to your lodge and then check in for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Hot air balloon experience and afternoon boat cruise.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then meet with your safari guide and then drive to the starting point near Paraa lodge for a briefing about the rules, regulations, safety of the experience. After the briefing you will enter the balloon and your pilot will start and fly the balloon in the air to where you will have the wonderful views of the entire Murchison falls national park, tree tops, River Nile, Lake Albert, perfect views of the sunrise, savanna vegetation, various animal species and among many others. After the hot air balloon safari you will be served with the special continental bush breakfast alongside a bottle of champagne prepared by the skilled chefs from Paraa lodge, then later you will be rewarded a certificate that indicates that you participated in hot air balloon in Murchison falls national park.
After the breakfast, your safari driver will transfer you for the morning game drive in the park for a massive wildlife viewing experience; this is where you will spot various animal species like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, lions, and among others, as well as various bird species like open billed storks, grey crowned cranes, black bellied bustards, secretary bird, African fish eagles and among others. After the experience you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise.
After lunch, your safari driver will drive you to Paraa landing site for amazing boat cruise experience to the bottom of the falls. The boat cruise takes about 2 to 3 hours; this is the best way to spot hippos and then crocodiles in water close to you, as well as spotting numerous animal species like buffaloes, elephnats, antelopes, Uganda kons along the water shores washing away their thirst. You will spot water bird species like cormorants, King Fisher’s, bee-eaters, and among many others. The afternoon boat cruise takes you to the bottom of the falls where you will either cruise back to the starting point; and your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your driver guide and then transfer to Kampala, along the way you will have a stopover along the way and then enjoy your enroute lunch, after lunch proceed with your journey and then upon arrival your guide will drop you off at Entebbe Airport for your next flight back home or at any place of convenience that will make your safari come to the end.
