Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, depending on where you are located in Kampala. Your safari driver from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from either hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport, he will welcome you and then brief you about the 4 days gorilla trekking safari. After the briefing you will embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park that takes you about 8 or 9 hours’ drive with the stopovers along the way, you will make a first stopover at the equator for equator experience, taking pictures, purchasing souvenirs, and simply taking coffee. After the equator experience you will drive then make a second stopover in Mbarara for the enroute lunch. After lunch, you will drive until you arrive to Bwindi with the stunning along the way. And once you arrive, you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: First gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking at 7am. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while fascinated with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest. And once you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas that is keeping 7 meters away from them. This is when you will watch the gorillas doing their daily activities like playing, grooming, feeding, mating and others. During that period that’s when you will take the pictures and then recording their videos. And after the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking in Mgahinga gorilla national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and then meet your safari driver and then transfer to the headquarters of Mgahinga gorilla national park at 7am, for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups and then each group will be accompanied with the experienced park guides and then park rangers. You will be transferred to the forest and then look for the mountain gorillas and this takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours regarding to the location of the gorillas, along the way you will be rewarded with the stunning views of the bird species, primate species, animal species and among others.
And once the mountain gorillas are located you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas. And this is where you will spot the gorillas doing their activities, watching the gorillas playing, feeding, making nests, taking their pictures and recording them videos though using the less flash cameras because the flash disrupts the gorillas. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart to Kampala.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and begin your journey to Kampala, along the way in Mbarara you will have enroute lunch. After lunch you will continue with your journey until you arrive in Kampala, and upon your arrive you will be dropped to your place of convenience that will make your safari come to the end.
