Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park through Ziwa rhino sanctuary.
Depending on your location on the 1st day of the safari, our driver guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from any other place in Kampala. He will welcome you and brief you about the 7 days safari and then embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park the largest national park in Uganda that takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive and, along the way you will have rewarding views, as well you will have enroute lunch along the way; you will have another stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking experience while encountering these incredible creatures. After rhino tracking you will proceed to the park and upon your arrival you will be transferred to the top of the falls for a stunning experience to where you will have perfect views of the waterfall, with the water splashes and spotting beautiful wildlife close. After the experience you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park for the morning game drive; to where you will be rewarded with the great views of the animal species like lions, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeests and many others, as well you will spot bird species including Gant herons, Abyssinian Ground Hornbills, Gray-crowned crane and among many others, after the experience you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon game drive.
After lunch, you will be transferred for the exciting afternoon boat cruise experience to the bottom of the falls, to where you will have fascinating wildlife viewing along the river banks that includes elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, as well you view the crocodiles, hippopotamuses in water. As well you will spot the water bird species like hornbills, Abyssinian Ground Hornbills, Marabou storks, cormorants, bee-eaters, Giant herons, Black-headed Lapwings, fish eagles and among many others in the cool atmosphere close to the falls. After the boat cruise you will return back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to Kibale forest national park that is commonly known as the primate capital. As you exist your park you will spot the diverse animal species during the enroute game drive including giraffes, lions, buffaloes, elephants and spotting bird species. Along the way you will have the enroute lunch with stopovers to take pictures to take cool pictures as you are stretching your legs and enjoy the thrilling views of the wonderful scenery, of the tea plantations, Rwenzori Mountains, viewing the crater lakes and among many others. And when you reach the park you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk experience.
On the 4th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. You will meet your safari guide and then transfer to Kanyanchu park headquarters for the chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of 6 people per group and then each group will be allocated to experienced park guide and then enter the rainforest and start trekking in the forest while looking for the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees are located because these creatures keep on moving from one place to another while looking for food. During the trekking looking for the chimpanzees you will be fascinated with the spotting of various primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey and sighting various bird species, spotting plant species and makes the experience spicy. And once the chimpanzees are located you will spend one hour in the presence of the chimpanzees while watching the chimpanzees doing their daily activities like playing, fighting, mating, resting, hunting, watching them making nests for the night, observing their behavior, taking pictures and recording their videos to show people back home after this wonderful African safari. After the one hour of experience you will trek back to the park headquarters and then meet with your driver guide and then rewarded with the certificates for taking part in chimpanzee trekking. Later you will return back to the lodge for lunch.
Bigodi Swamp walk.
After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then go for the rewarding guided nature walk in Bigodi swamp this is such massive to where you will spot various bird species like the shoebill storks, great blue turacos, Great-blue turacos, Yellow-billed Barbets, White-spotted Flufftail and among other plus viewing other small mammal like sitatungas, mongooses, otters, duikers, bush bucks and among many others, and primates like black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and others while taking pictures for memories. After the experience you will be transferred back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
After the hearty breakfast, on the 5th day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast, after the breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then your safari driver will drive you to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover at Ishasha sector along your journey to where you will have the amazing game drive and you will be able to spot the incredible tree climbing lions as they are lying up in the acacia fig tree branches. As you are doing the game drive you will spot other park’s animal species like elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, and various bird species in the beautiful scenery. When you finish the game drive you will have the enroute lunch, and after lunch you will proceed with your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with the awesome views along the way until you reach your lodge; for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
On the 6th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, together with your packed lunch you will meet up with your driver guide and then drive to the park’s headquarters for a briefing about the rules and then the regulations to follow during gorilla trekking safaris. After the briefing you will be grouped into various groups of 8 members per group where each group will be allocated to a gorilla family to trek and with the company of the park guide and park ranger that is familiar with the trails in the forest. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are found because they like moving from a place to another while looking for food as well as shade, during that time looking for the gorillas you will be impressed with spotting the park’s diverse attractions like primates, bird species, animal species, plant species and among others. And once the gorillas are found you will be filled with joy and amazed with one hour to be them in their habitats that gives you the opportunity to watch them doing their daily activities like playing, feeding, mothers grooming their young ones, making nests, taking their pictures, and recording their massive moments. After the one hour with the gorillas you will then return back to the starting point to where you will be rewarded with gorilla trekking certificates for being part of gorilla trekking experience. Later your safari driver will drive you back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the safari after enjoying your breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then transfer to Kampala. Along the way you will have different stopovers that is in Mbarara town for lunch and then a second stopover at the equator to take pictures, purchasing souvenirs. After the equator experience you will proceed with your journey and arrive in the late evening and upon your arrival you will be dropped off at the Entebbe International Airport or to your hotel that will make your safari come to the end.
