Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park for afternoon boat cruise.
Depending on your location, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala and then welcome you, brief you about the safari. After the brief you will start on your journey to Lake Mburo national park that takes you approximately 5 hours’ drive with the en-route stopover at the equator for the equator experience, taking pictures. After the experience you will continue with your drive until you reach the park, upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and then enjoy lunch.
After lunch, you will meet with your safari guide and go for the afternoon boat cruise to explore the acquatic animal species including the large numbers of the crocodiles and hippos and different bird species including rare shoebill stork, African fish eagle and among many others. After the boat cruise you will drive back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After an early breakfast, check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to the park for the morning game drive to search for the great animal species like elands, zebras, Uganda Kobs, antelopes, topis, buffaloes and various bird species, and this activity takes approximately 2 to 3 hours that are such rewarding. After the experience you will drive out from the park and then start on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park with the stunning views of the landscapes. You will arrive in the early afternoon and then connect to visit the exploration of the crater lakes around the area. After the experience you will connect to your lodge to relax, and then later be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park to sight the early risers, the game drive is such perfect that takes you to the verdant savannah plains to where you will sight the big four mammals of the big five mammals that includes the lions, buffaloes, leopards and elephants, as well as other mammals during the experience, without forgetting the bird species. After the game drive you will transfer to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will again come for more experience to do afternoon boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George that is known for having the largest numbers of the hippopotamuses in the country, as well you will spot the giant crocodiles and lots of bird species including cormorants, African fish eagles, bee-eaters, yellow-bellied storks, African jacana and among others, and others. You will see other animals along the water shores that come to drink and soak up the channel. After you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide with the en-route game drive as you are existing the park. After the game drive you will proceed with your journey with the en-route lunch in Mbarara, and after lunch you will continue with your journey and upon your arrival, your safari guide will drop you off at you’re your preferred location either at Entebbe International Airport or to your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
